Yes, summers will be off for MPhil students.

Yes, you will be appointed an academic advisor. Academic advising is an important part of students’ academic trajectory at SOE, particularly due to the many components of the MPhil that the student must successfully navigate. A faculty advisor will be appointed to each student by the Dean at the start of the program in order to support students in their academic pursuits, provide mentorship and guidance through the different stages of the programme -including academic coursework, field engagement, research, and practicum placement- and provide general advice in all academic and career related matters.

Yes, students can park in the “Free Parking” area on campus. They will be required to acquire a vehicle sticker from the LUMS General Administration & Services department.

Yes, the SOE Orientation is mandatory for all MPhil students.

The Orientation session will provide the students with a detailed introduction of the campus facilities and life at LUMS. Students will also get acquainted with the MPhil curriculum and course structure in detail, and meet the SOE faculty members and staff.

The Orientation sessions will provide an opportunity for you to connect with peers, meet your faculty, and begin to explore how to prepare for life both inside and outside of the classroom.
