To promote inter faith harmony and to ensure that all employees at LUMS feel a sense of belonging, Christmas celebrations were organised by the Human Resources on December 21, 2018 at the Pepsi Dining Centre, LUMS. Ms. Nabiha Shahnawaz, Chief Operating Officer, Dr. Shahid Masud, Dean Syed Babar Ali School of Science and Engineering (SBASSE), Mr. Asif Iqbal, Head of HR, Mr. Amer Khan Durrani, Director General Administration & Services and Mr. Muhammad Iqbal, Head of Procurement were among the LUMS employees who attended the event.
The event started with the opening speech of Mr. Iqbal in which he emphasised that we all are equal and it’s just how we contribute makes us bigger. Dr. Masud praised the efforts of the Christian staff and their contributions in making LUMS a dynamic place. The celebrations included a Christmas carol, performed by Mr. Haroon Shad who gives Piano lessons to Lifetime Learning students, speeches by the guests and fun games for the attendees.
The celebrations ended with a sumptuous hi-tea and goodie bags for the staff.
