On May 4, 2018 the Suleman Dawood School of Business (SDSB), LUMS hosted a PhD Management Focus Day, which was attended by participants from all over the country. Interested candidates from various academic fields, social backgrounds and professions participated in the event.
The Focus Day started with a welcome note by Dr. Ghufran Ahmad, Programme Director emphasising the importance of the Programme, and the various courses offered. The participants and the faculty also interacted with each other and discussed many questions that were on their minds. The question and answer session was very informative about what the Programme offers, especially in the form of courses and opportunities after graduation.
Representatives from SDSB included Dr. Tanveer Shehzad, Associate Professor; Dr. M. Shakeel Sadiq Jajja, Associate Professor and Dr. Muhammad Shafique, Associate Professor, who conducted the sessions representing all three specilisations of the Programme which are Organisational Behaviour and Strategy, Operations Management and Finance.
After tea, the Office of Admissions presented the application process to the prospective PhD students and gave an in-depth explanation on how to apply to the PhD Management Programme. Dr. Ahmad concluded the session with encouragement and inspiration to the prospective students who were then taken on a tour of LUMS, and visited all the facilities offered to students.
