Summer School @LUMS (SSL) invited their first batch of graduates for a reunion on the evening of February 24, 2018. “What an event it was; refreshed all our memories linked to SSL ’17,” shared Talha Ansari, an alumnus of the programme. The over 40, young and energetic alumni of SSL 2017 were invited to the LUMS campus to celebrate over a bonfire, which was attended by the new SSL team as well as the management from last year which included by Ms. Iffat Chaudhry, Ms. Maira Arooba and Mr. Adnan Waheed.
Complementing the bonfire were the many entertaining activities, which kept the reunion attendees engaged. The attendees played games like tug of war, limbo, pass the bottle and minute to win it with much enthusiasm. The winners won gift baskets. The SSL team also joined in with the alumni in the fun activities providing the alumni a chance to interact with the management, sharing jokes and experiences.
The alumni were also introduced to the new SSL team: Ms. Masooma Zeeshan, Mr. Irfan Latif, Mr. Amir Javed, Ms. Dania Elahi, Ms. Lubna Zahid and Ms. Tooba Usman. The introductions were followed by a delicious dinner by the bonfire, giving the Summer School alumni to network and relive their memories from their summer at LUMS.
Summer School@LUMS was launched in 2017. It is aimed at smart girls and boys aged between 14 to 18 years, to inspire them to not only explore their abilities and interests, but to enhance them through reputable, accomplished professionals who are experts in their respective fields.
