SimSim Pakistan has signed an agreement with LUMS to become its official payment partner and provide an unmatched digital experience to students and parents alike. SimSim aims to make Pakistan a cash-light economy which perfectly aligns with the University’s objective of being a completely cashless campus. SimSim received an overwhelming response at LUMS with many students using SimSim at the on-campus retailers, doing mobile top ups, paying off their utility bills, purchasing tickets and performing IBFTs (Inter Bank Fund Transfer).
This partnership will enable LUMS students to pay all payments related to RO office through the SimSim app directly from their smartphones. Library dues, fines, fees and other related payments can also be made using this app. Students can also use SimSim to pay at on campus merchants and avail exciting discounts. Another benefit to the hostelites and students belonging to other cities is that they can ask their parents to send money to them via SimSim free of cost. Students can also order ATM cards for cash withdrawals on campus.
Additionally, SimSim has enabled students to earn money simply by using the app and its features. SimSim also intends to let the students borrow at very competitive rates. These loans will be available very soon.
The signing ceremony was attended by prominent members of the LUMS family including the registrar, Dr. Mubashir Ali, Deans of the academic schools and senior members of the administration. LUMS Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. S. Sohail H. Naqvi said, “I’m thrilled about the possibilities that SimSim is creating for the LUMS community”.
Commenting about the partnership that will set new standards for campuses across Pakistan, Qasif Shahid, CEO of Finja said, “LUMS has always been at the forefront of innovation and I couldn’t be more excited to see them take this step with SimSim as their digital partner”.
