The Shaikh Ahmad Hassan School of Law held its Dean’s Honor List Ceremony on February 10, 2017 in recognition of its top student academic achievers for the year 2015-2016. First, second and third year law students with cumulative GPA scores of 3.6 or higher qualified for inclusion on the list, which is announced annually to formally acknowledge the achievements of academic excellence.
The Ceremony was held in the Asifa Irfan Moot Court Room of the School of Law and was attended by students, faculty members as well as staff. The programme included a recitation from the Holy Quran by Dr. Faiza Ismail, Associate Professor, and a welcome address by the Dean and concluded with a closing address delivered by Dr. Parvez Hassan, member of the Board of Trustees of LUMS. Ms. Marva Khan, Teaching Fellow, acted as Master of Ceremony. Called out in the order of the year in which they are studying, Prof. Dr. Martin Lau, Dean, presented each of the high-achieving students with a certificate.
In his closing address, Dr. Hassan acknowledged the students’ outstanding work during their studies and expressed his pride in celebrating their academic achievements. The Dean’s Honor List Ceremony was followed by a reception, ably supported by Mr. Iftikhar and Mr. Shahnawaz of the School of Law.
