REDC Conducts Programme on Project Management

The Project Management Programme at the Rausing Executive Development Centre (REDC) delves into planning and executing projects, managing teams, setting project schedules, delegating tasks, and managing project resources. The 4-day, comprehensive Programme commenced on September 3, 2018, and was directed by Zehra Waheed and supported in teaching by Jamshed H. Khan, Arif Iqbal Rana and Fahad Mehmood. It focused on the strategic management of projects and provided insights on creating the project budget, defining and allocating resources, managing project closure, as well as identifying and managing risks.

The Programme highlighted the key areas related to project team dynamics, developing the project scope and leveraging tools such as work breakdown structure and earned value analysis. A pedagogical mix of case studies, simulation and team-based exercises were used to illuminate examples of risk management and estimation, new product development and development projects.
