As the National Outreach Programme (NOP) team reached north in their outreach efforts, they arrived at one of the most beautiful regions in the subcontinent, Azad Kashmir. The outreach representatives visited 10 colleges and reached out to 1150 students in Muzaffarabad and Rawalakot.
One of the major highlights of this visit was that this was the largest audience encountered in the northern region in this year’s outreach so far. Passionate and ambitious students not only listened intently to the information being disseminated but engaged fully in the question and answer sessions that followed. Questions regarding the NOP as a whole and how to apply through the new NOP Online Application System were answered.
When asked about their thoughts on the presentation, Professor Syed-Ul-Rehman from Graduate College, Rawalakot said, “The session was extremely beneficial and I can already see students being inspired to apply to LUMS.”
Madam Shahnaz, Principal Read Foundation Science College for Girls, Muzaffarabad added, “These sessions are extremely useful for our female students, we want to encourage them to go out into the world and achieve their dreams; the sessions held by LUMS serve that purpose.”
