Scalar Interactions

Scalar Interactions

Discovery of Higgs boson has two notable implications. First, the current Standard Model of particle physics is not a wrong choice for low energy phenomenology. Second, other scalar particles may also exist which are required for various beyond Standard Model interactions among quantum fields. It naturally necessitates thorough studies of such interactions from field theory’s point of view as well as phenomenology. However, in presence of a wide spectrum of interaction strengths, perturbative approach may not suffice. Furthermore, there are a number of technical issues of various nature which require a careful investigation. My current research is primarily focused on, weak as well as strong, scalar interactions. I have been using both the methods of lattice simulations and Dyson Schwinger equations. The main goals include understanding interaction vertices and explore spectroscopy, and calculating experimentally accessible quantities if possible.
