The Rausing Executive Development Centre's flagship residential programme, the Management Development Programme (MDP) took place from October 23 to November 3, 2017. It was led by Programme Director Jamshed Hassan Khan and Co-programme Director Muhammad Adeel Zafar. Esteemed faculty members like Anwar Khurshid, Ehsan ul Haque, Syed Mubashir Ali, Jawad Syed, Naveed Riaz, Arif Ijaz, Khalid A. Mirza and Nasser Aziz, supported them in teaching. Industry experts like Tahira Hassan and Abdul Razak Dawood came as guest speakers and provided a transformational learning experience to the executives.

By integrating key functional disciplines, this programme helps participants develop the capability to envision, influence, control and implement the strategic direction of the firm. The programme aims to expand their knowledge across all functional areas and develop a holistic management perspective. The objective of the MDP is to create successful general managers who can compete and succeed by leveraging their own and their organisations’ inherent strengths in an integrated manner. Executives gain from networking opportunities with like-minded high achievers from diverse backgrounds and industry experience.

Discussion based case studies, interactive simulations and projects are blended with classroom activity to impart learning which reinforces functional knowledge and bridges the core management areas of marketing, finance, operations, technology, leadership and team management with a view to create functional synergies. The programme was well received by the participants.

“MDP is a roller coaster experience. You will get much more than your expectations,” said Zahida Awan, EVP Legal, PTCL.

“MDP is a thought provoking programme focusing on leadership development and resulting in deep insight and learning,” shared Syed Faheem Ahmed, SVP MCB Ltd.
