The Rausing Executive Development Centre (REDC) conducted the programme, Growth & Continuity in Family-Run Businesses for board members of family enterprises. The programme took place in Karachi from October 13 to 14, 2017. The programme director, Arif Iqbal Rana led this programme and was supported in teaching by Muhammad Shakeel Sadiq Jajja.
The programme addressed key challenges related to growth, professionalization, internationalization and sustainability of family business and explored the relationship between ownership, business and family. The programme enabled family-run business owners to develop procedures, policies and mechanisms for management control and financial oversight.
Discussion based case studies and projects are blended with classroom activity to ensure participants learn how to make the family a cohesive group with an aligned vision.
“Very extensive and thorough programme that highlights the ground realities of family businesses in Pakistan and equips participants with the tools to manage them,” said programme participant.
