Our alumni in Nepal took a walk down memory lane on Thursday, March 2, 2017 when the Nepal Alumni Chapter had a reunion at Sunrise Restaurant in Hotel Yak and Yeti in Kathmandu, Nepal.
It was an undeniably enjoyable evening, graced by the presence of Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. S. Sohail H. Naqvi, and Sarah Karim, Manager Marketing and Communications at LUMS and attended by a majority of the alumni who currently reside in Nepal.
The reunion opened with an address by Dr. Naqvi, who gave the attendees an overview of the latest developments at LUMS, and then went on to answer any queries they had about their alma mater. The fact that the reunion happened after such a long period of time, combined with encouragement from Dr. Naqvi, motivated the alumni to increase the engagement of the chapter in the future.
Mr. Binod Shrestha, MBA 02, and Ms. Manjita Poudyal Mishra, MBA 09 were nominated President and Vice President of the Nepal Alumni Chapter respectively at the event. Both alumni embraced their positions with the determination to make the chapter socially active.
The alumni had a wonderful time getting reacquainted with the LUMS community over dinner, and they ended the night with a photo session to commemorate their getting together.
