Wednesday, November 9, 2016

The LUMS National Outreach Programme (NOP) Centre held information sessions in Southern Punjab in Bahawalpur, Sadiqabad, Khanpur and Rahim Yar Khan reaching out to 15 schools and colleges with nearly 1700 students. The primary purpose of this trip was to increase awareness and understanding about LUMS and its NOP programme.

The NOP representatives held engaging sessions with the intermediate students. Information regarding scholarships and financial aid opportunities inclusive of tuition fee-waivers, free boarding and lodging along with a stipend for meeting day to day needs was given. The audience was given a visual round-up of life at LUMS, enlightening them about the various curricular and extra-curricular programmes offered. The presentation also included a detailed discussion on the eligibility criteria of the upcoming NOP Summer Coaching Session 2017.

Marketing collateral consisting of flyers and posters were shared with the heads of the respective schools and colleges. Additionally, application forms were distributed amongst students who had secured more than 80 percent marks in their matric exams. The sessions at all the institutions ended on a positive note with interactive Q&A sessions in which questions related to LUMS were responded to by the team.
