On August 6, 2016 the alumni team hosted a reunion for over 50 alumni at a marquee restaurant in Central London. Alumni from almost every batch were present at the event; ranging from MBA 1989 to BSc 2015. They were working in every field; from managing their own businesses to pursuing academic careers in some of the best universities in the world to working for large multinational corporations; Luminites were everywhere doing well for themselves and by association, for LUMS.
The event started with a video showcasing what had been happening at LUMS making all the alumni in the room nostalgic. Sara Jamil, BSc Accounting and Finance, Batch of 2014 then narrated her journey as an NOP graduate to PwC, highlighting the importance of the programme to Pakistan in general and LUMS in particular.
The alumni then rekindled old bonds over lunch. Alumni were keen on exchanging their experiences and learning new things including life in the UK and regarding the evolution of LUMS over the years.
The event concluded with Masooma Zeeshan, Manager Alumni Relations, thanking everyone for coming.
