On 08 July 2020, the Pakistan-China Institute organized a conference under their Friends of the Silk Road banner. The Director, Professor Sikander A. Shah, moderated an esteemed panel of ambassadors and foreign governmental officials who had remotely joined the conference from various BRI partner countries, including China, Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Kazakhstan, Myanmar, Nepal, and Sri Lanka. Prof. Shah mediated an insightful conversation and expressed the need for partner countries to focus on healthcare-related cooperation under BRI, a critical issue in light of the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic.
