The Summer School @LUMS (SSL) held its Orientation Ceremony on Friday, June 14, 2019. The event started with the national anthem followed by a welcome speech from our guest speaker, Adeel Hashmi. The Orientation was a lively affair prepping the attendees for the exciting summer weeks to come. The students and parents were introduced to life at SSL, through a slideshow that gave them an overview of LUMS and SSL policies, facilities, as well as an introduction to the esteemed faculty.
SSL will provide individuals with the opportunity to groom themselves, explore and learn in a fun atmosphere. The activities offered range from academic courses like graphic design and communication skills to hobby-based ones, such as performing arts, musical instruments, and photography with a LUMS certification at the end of their course.
The slideshow then led to a delicious high-tea, arranged for all those present. This provided the students with an opportunity to start networking with each other. The tea was followed by a campus tour.
Summer School @LUMS 2019 Session 1 has just begun, with Session 2 starting on July 12, 2019. We hope these summer students have a fantastic and unforgettable journey with this exciting programme.
