The All Pakistan Volleyball Open’ 19 Tournament, one of the most popular events of Volleyball Representatives at Sports at LUMS (SLUMS), was held from March 28-31, 2019 at LUMS.
Participants included students from LUMS, CMH Lahore Medical College, FAST, NUST and MINHAJ who put a lot of effort and played against one another with a lot of passion. With 14 teams (8 Male and 6 Female), and a total of 140 players (80 Male and 60 Female), a total of 25 matches (16 Male and 9 Female) were played.
The following teams were awarded with medals and shields on the basis of their outstanding performance:
Male Winner: CMH White
Male Runner-Up: MINHAJ University
Female Winner: LUMS
Female Runner-Up: CMH Lahore Medical College
All the volleyball matches were either held at LUMS Sport Complex indoor court or outdoor court; at times both courts were occupied due to matches happening simultaneously.
The matches were conducted with the help of two credible referees while Volleyball Representatives also kept a solid track of the score during matches.
Senior Volleyball representatives, Muazzam Ahmad and Zainab Salman, with the help of their juniors, worked as a team in managing and executing the event from the registrations, promotions, and logistics, till the end of the ceremony.
