About the Speaker
Rizwan Ullah Khan is the General Manager of The Coca-Cola Export Corporation, Pakistan and Afghanistan Region, a position he has held since September 2005. Being a true 22-year veteran of the Company, he has served in a number of different business functions during his early career, including operations, marketing, customer services and public affairs and communications (PA&C). Mr. Khan is responsible for setting the foundation for the PA&C function for Pakistan and Afghanistan in 2008.
Owing to Mr. Khan’s aggressive leadership, Coca-Cola Pakistan has secured a position in the Company’s top 32 Markets in terms of growing volume shared across the system and beverage industry. The Company has already invested $500 million during this year on the up-gradation of the existing plants in the country and a further $200 million of green field investment is in the pipeline to expand Coca-Cola’s production and distribution capacity in Pakistan.
Over the years, Mr. Khan has steered the transformation of Coca-Cola Pakistan into one of the leading socially responsible organisations in the country, by forging strong partnerships with local communities. Under his leadership, the Company has carried out several successful interventions in the fields of education, environment preservation and water stewardship, livelihood creation, women empowerment and youth development.
Mr. Khan is the former President of the American Business Forum and a key catalyst in the formation of this Forum, an association of leading US organisations in Pakistan. Mr. Khan’s been a part of multiple international assignments and trainings under Coca-Cola’s outreach programmes. He holds a degree in Management from Hiram College, Ohio, USA.
