LUMS Shredded Holds Mr. LUMS 2018

LUMS Shredded, a chapter of Sports at LUMS (SLUMS), organised Mr. LUMS 2018 on May 3, 2018. The event was the first classical men physique competition at LUMS and was organised in collaboration with the Office of Sports, Wellness and Recreation. There were 3 categories in which participants competed in 65kg below, 65kg-70kg, 70kg and above. From freshman to senior, students from every batch competed to achieve the title of Mr. LUMS 2018. The gym instructors Mr. Shakeel Ahmed and Mr. Bilal Ahmed helped the participants throughout the year in their transformations to compete for the title. The judges for the event were Haji Arshad (Mr. Lahore 1984), Malik Khalid (National Champion Pakistan – 7 times) and Mian Yasir (Executive member of Pakistan Bodybuilding Federation).

Participants came on the stage to pose for different muscles and were appraised by the audience. After posting, participants were ranked on different criteria by judges and the winners were announced. Awais Jafar (78kg), MS Computer Science senior, Saad Amir (66g), Economics junior and Yonus Khan (61kg), Accounting and Finance super senior won in their respective categories.

Dr. Adnan Khan, founder of LUMS Shredded, awarded belts, shields and medals to the winners at the end of the event. Daniyal Ahmed, President of Mr. LUMS and Muhammad Ahmed, Head of Operations and Marketing were awarded appreciation shields and medals by Dr Adnan Khan for successfully managing the event.
