The Citizens Foundation (TCF) conducted a recruitment drive for its Alumni Development Programme (ADP) and Social Internship Programme at LUMS. Mr. Muhammad Imran (Assistant Manager) started the session by giving a brief introduction of the company, TCF is a professionally managed, non-profit organisation set up in 1995 by a group of citizens who wanted to bring about positive social change through education. TCF is one of Pakistan’s leading organisations in the field of education for the less privileged. They have around 17,400 employees working for them. Mr. Imran proceeded to explain about Alumni Development Programme (ADP), which is a five-week programme aimed towards TCF matriculates, where volunteers teach Basic English and Mathematics with the primary objective of helping them go through intermediate education and later in university admissions.
Ms. Joti Ghani (Assistant Manager) then took the stage and talked about the Social Internship Programme (Summer Camp), which is a two-week programme where students from different schools and universities go to TCF schools to engage with primary-level students (grades 3, 4 and 5) in activities-based learning. In the end, TCF took registrations of students for both programmes.
