EY Ford Rhodes Conducts Information Session at LUMS

EY Ford Rhodes conducted an information session for their Chartered Accountancy Programme at LUMS on March 7, 2018. Ms. Zoya Qadeer Khan (HR Business Partner) started the session by giving a brief introduction of their organisation, EY’s global presence, and the diverse backgrounds of its 1800+ employees in Pakistan. Her introduction covered the services provided by EY (Assurance, Advisory, Core Business services, Tax and Transaction Advisory) and the global mobility of its employees.

Mr. Abdullah Fahad Masood (Partner, Assurance) then took the stage and shared his experience working with EY. His presentation covered the nature of assurance services and how assurance forms the basis for developing a comprehensive understanding of a diverse range of entities including an understanding of their operations and contributing to process improvements.

Later, Mr. Shahzaib Sanwal (Senior Manager, Advisory-Risk) talked about the nature of advisory services. He went through the several challenges faced by students going through the CA training programme in a very light and humorous manner while highlighting the various career opportunities and rapid progression path that the qualification offers. 

Ms. Khan then described their programmes which are the CA Trainee Programme (Final Year ACF Students) and the Summer Internship Programme (3rd Year ACF, Management Sciences & Economics Students)

The informative session ended with an interactive Q&A session.
