1. What is the main role of academic research centers in advancing the water agenda?
2. How are centers collaborating with industry and government in solving big problems of water, climate, agriculture, environment, energy and related topics? 
3. Are there instances of true multi-disciplinary research in water and related subjects in Pakistan?
4. What type of international / regional research linkages have the centers developed?
5. Is the relationship between departmental training programs and research centers well defined or ambiguous?
6. What are the major challenges faced by research centers?

1. What are the current gaps in science & engineering education in water, sanitation & environment related majors? Are we training our workforce too narrowly?
2. What are the emerging and new disciplines in water science & engineering in which we need to train our human resource?
3. What can be the role of social sciences, economics, law and business studies in training future water practitioners and researchers?
4. How can water and environment related subjects be introduced in wider university curricula?
5. What concrete steps can be taken by the universities to raise public awareness on water related subjects and improve the scientific and cultural understanding of these subjects?
