Dr. Alnoor Bhimani, Honorary Dean of SDSB met with Mr. Alex Pan, Chairman of the Longer Development Pvt. Ltd., which is an Investment Consultancy for Qingdao Municipal Government of China. The aim of this partnership is to promote economic and trade exchange and mutual investment between SDSB and Longer Development and to offer a platform for mutually beneficial business activities. The scope of the MOU includes, promoting bilateral investment and establish economic partnerships; promoting trade exchanges; promoting cooperation in tourism and infrastructure; and find possible collaborations in education and health areas.
Mr. Alex Pan has long been committed to promoting the exchange and cooperation between Xuzhou City and Pakistan. Xuzhou Foreign Office authorises Mr. Alex Pan to serve as the envoy of friendship, bridging Xuzhou City and cities in Pakistan. Also, to seek a Friendship City in Pakistan for Xuzhou City and promote the substantial exchange and cooperation of both cities in the fields of economy, trade, technology, agriculture, culture, education and health. In order to speed up the integration of the 'One Belt and One Road' (OBOR) strategy and further expand the open cooperation between China and Pakistan; promote industrial transformation and upgrading and advance development; enhance the tradition and influence of Xuzhou as an important node city in the OBOR and the central city of the 'Huaihai Economic Zone'. Xuzhou City People's government plan to hold the 'China Pakistan Business Cooperation Conference' in Xuzhou Qingdao from 23 October to 26 October 2018, to further bridge the two cities.
