Undergraduate students are usually apprehensive of taking their SAT and often require sound guidance and support with preparation. Experienced trainers, staff, alumni and LUMS community organised a two-day free SAT workshop from October 27-28, 2018 at LUMS to support students ace their SAT exam.

Additionally, the students were given an overview of the programmes offered at LUMS as well as a walk-through of life at LUMS.  Needless to say, the response was overwhelming. Many students took it as a comprehensive opportunity and thanked LUMS for this great initiative and support catering to all undergraduate prospective students planning to take their SAT soon. Five hundred excited students from diverse areas around Lahore enthusiastically took part in this workshop.

“Had I not attended SAT Math cracking session, I wouldn’t have been able to do my practice test, the workshop attempted to demystify Math techniques and tricks in an effortless way,” commented Momina Ramzan, Kinnaird College, participant at the workshop.

“I learnt English and Math techniques never told to me before by anyone which really helped me a lot,” expressed Rabiya Umair from Garrison, participant at the workshop.

The workshop started with an ice-breaking session followed by a presentation by the Marketing team. Two auditoriums were filled with an exceedingly large number of students looking forward to ace techniques for their SAT with excellent trainers and faculty to feed the students with the richness of their knowledge, exposure, education and diversity. During the lunch and tea breaks, the students made themselves familiar with the ambience. A campus tour was arranged giving students a chance to unwind and get to know the campus and community.

The feedback was outstanding; the students were grateful to LUMS for taking such an excellent educational initiative and allowing them to get an in-depth insight into different SAT components and providing them the opportunity to familiarise themselves with LUMS. The output, learning, exposure and interaction of the students with the LUMS community was remarkable.

“Overall, the workshop, the SAT briefing, LUMS, everything was outstandingly incredible, beneficial and unforgettable,” expressed students enthusiastically.
