Maryam Shahid, LUMS BS Computer Science student has received a fully-funded opportunity from MIT to attend the institute's Technology and Policy Program (TPP). Maryam will be joining MIT in Fall, and she hopes to work towards privacy policy advocacy in cyberspace. In addition to this, she has also received funded admissions from Princeton, UIUC, UC San Diego, University of Maryland, University of Chicago and North Eastern University
She currently serves on the Executive Council of the largest student-run society at LUMS, SPADES (Society for Promotion and Development of Engineering and Sciences) and the executive council of ACM Student Chapter at LUMS. Maryam is also a senior member of LUMS’s girls’ Basketball team.
