LUMS BSc Economics graduate (class of 2007), Fiza Farhan, CEO and Co-founder of Buksh Foundation and Buksh Energy represented Pakistan at the inaugural meeting of the UN Secretary General's High Level Panel on Women Economic Empowerment, which was held on March 15, 2016.
This is the first time such a meeting has been held. The meeting started during the 60th session of the Commission on the Status of Women, which is operating under the aegis of the UN Secretary General and intends to determine the action plan towards achieving the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development to improve the economic outcomes for women and create business profitability through gender equality.
