The Honourable Justice Gulzar Ahmed of the Supreme Court of Pakistan paid a visit to the Shaikh Ahmad Hassan School of Law (SAHSOL) on September 27, 2016. He was received by the Dean of SAHSOL, Professor Martin Lau, Justice (R) Jawwad Khawaja, Professor and Scholar in Residence at the LUMS Mushtaq Ahmad Gurmani School of Humanities and Social Sciences, and members of the law faculty including Dr. Zubair Abbasi, Dr. Muhammad Azeem, Mr. Uzair Kayani, Mr. Khyzar Hussain, Mr. Emad Ansari, Ms. Neha Gauhar and Ms. Marva Khan.
During the course of the meeting the faculty presented their current research projects and academic interests to Justice Gulzar, who provided insights into the topics based on his experience in the judiciary. This was followed by a general discussion on issues affecting the administration of justice in Pakistan.
SAHSOL and its faculty feel honoured to have had the opportunity to host Justice Gulzar Ahmed for an interactive session. The Law School has also had the privilege to host eminent judges previously under its Khalid Ishaque Distinguished Lecture Series.
