The LUMS Riyadh Alumni community hosted its very first meet-up on Thursday, September 27, 2018 at the Spices Village Olaya in Riyadh, Kingdom od Saudi Arabia (KSA).
With a special focus on MBA classes from the years 1999 to 2018 and a few alumni from BSc, the meet-up aimed at helping the participants reconnect, thereby strengthening the LUMS community in the city. The attendees included family members with over 26 people in presence.
Sharing recollections of their time at LUMS, the alumni reflected on the importance of staying connected. For many, who have been in KSA for over 10 years, the first-ever reunion felt like a homecoming away from home.
The alumni shared their thoughts on the changing trends in higher education, engaged in discussions about the current state of cricket, and shared many a reminiscent tale about LUMS. Among the other highlights was the poetry session by alumnus, Amad Hayee, MBA 2012.
The event concluded with alumni resolving to meet next year, with some pouring in ideas for the venue as well.
