The optimisation of supply chain techniques play a critical role in driving value and sustainability for all stakeholders across the value chain. Based on this premise, the LUMS Rausing Executive Development Centre (REDC) designed a 2-day programme, ‘Supply Chain Management’ for a leading home appliances brand of Pakistan from October 10 - 11, 2018. Directed by Shakeel Sadiq Jajja, co-directed by Arif I. Rana and supported in teaching by Raza Ali Rafique, the programme focused on the strategic management of value chain partners and provided insights on strengthening the links to establish the company’s competitive advantage.
The Programme highlighted key areas related to forecasting and uncertainty management, developing and leveraging suppliers, inventory planning and aligning incentives across the supply chain. A pedagogical mix of case studies and team-based exercises helped to expose participants to a spectrum of concepts such as forecasting, aggregate planning and risk management.
“Excellent job done, very informative programme and explained the complex concepts in an easier way,” commented Muhammad Hamayoun Bashir, GM Marketing.
