The Rausing Executive Development Centre (REDC) conducted the fall offering of its programme on Project Management. The four-day session concluded on August 30, 2019.
The programme was designed to equip executives with the essential knowledge of planning and executing complex and high-stake projects. It utilised real time scenarios, productive simulation and practical tools, and provided a comprehensive perspective on managing and executing business projects. The sessions used sophisticated tools and techniques, which will help managers complete their projects on time and effectively.
LUMS faculty members, Dr. Zehra Waheed, Dr. Jamshed H. Khan, Dr. Abdur Rahman Malik and Dr. Zainab Riaz, led the programme. These faculty members have expertise in topics related to identification of issues, agile thinking, effective management, project analysis, problem solving and effective decision-making.
Talking about his experience as a participant, Ahmed Shayan, an employee at Engro Corporation Limited said, “As a communications professional, leading multiple projects in a large conglomerate, I found this programme to be very well designed and effectively executed. It equipped the attendees with relevant tools and theoretical frameworks for the management of complex projects.”
Another participant, Umair Abbasi, an employee at Service Sales Corporation, also expressed his satisfaction with the sessions and said, “It is an outstanding programme, especially for those who run projects in their organisations. It helped the participants to learn the dynamics of project management and acquire soft skills to mitigate risks and conclude projects in an efficient way.”
