Under its custom initiatives, REDC hosted a focused programme on, “Achieving Leadership Excellence" from October 15 - 20, 2018 for a leading insurance group with the purpose of influencing leadership and team practices within the organisation. Designed as a 6-day intervention, the programme exposed participants to contemporary leadership practices, team cohesion, change and project management.
Conducted in the metropolitan city of Karachi, the programme was directed by Dr. Muhammad Abdur Rahman Malik, Assistant Professor, Suleman Dawood School of Business (SDSB), and Dr. Arif Nazir Butt, Professor, SDSB and supported in teaching by Dr. Anwar Khurshid, Professor, SBSB and Dr. Muhammad Adeel Zaffar, Assistant Professor, SDSB. Over the 6- intensive days, participants were given exposure on how to identify leadership characteristics, recognise strengths and challenges for organisational change, gain trust, manage group dynamics, develop project timelines and optimise resource allocation.
To ensure active participation, the programme utilised case studies, simulations, exercises and interactive discussions for exchange of ideas and information. The programme was well received by the participants who lauded faculty’s area of expertise and ability to impart knowledge.
