Rausing Executive Development Centre (REDC) conducts tailor made programmes for organisations, which address the company’s business goals and unique challenges. Under their custom programme portfolio, REDC conducted a programme for Al-Moiz and Thal Industries on ‘Financial Planning and Control’ from January 24 - 26, 2019. The programme focused on understanding the purpose, process and politics of budgeting.
Led by Dr. Junaid Ashraf and Ayesha Bhatti, and supported in teaching by Dr. Syed Mubashir Ali and Dr. Omair Haroon, the programme provided insights on calculating variances, their implication for cost control and utilising budgets as a tool for financial planning and performance measurement. The attendees also gained exposure on the importance of cost management and financial planning in the sugar industry.
The participant profile consisted of General Managers and Chief Financial Officers from different divisions and factories. They appreciated the programme content and highly rated faculty expertise on the subject matter. Raza Abbas, Manager Engineering and Business Development Al Moiz Industries, gave feedback about REDC’s programmes, “REDC Programmes are designed to develop the taste of the subject amongst its participants.
