A collaboration in support of the local dairy business sector sponsored by Tetra Pak Pakistan was initiated at the Rausing Executive Development Centre (REDC), LUMS in 2017. In relation to this learning partnership, second offering of the Dairy Management Programme took place at REDC from September 28-30, 2018. The Dairy Management Programme, sponsored by Tetra Pak Pakistan as a CSR initiative aims to bring dairy entrepreneurs and managers on a learning platform thereby contributing to the overall well-being of this sector.
The programme aims at building managerial competencies leading to operational efficiency, productivity enhancement, adoption of best practices, quality benchmarking and value addition to the currently commoditised dairy sector. The Programme also focuses on milk quality, basis of milk production and sustainable dairy business.
The Programme, led by Director, Muhammad Imran Siddique, supported in teaching by Fahd Rehman and expert from HAAS University of Applied Sciences, Netherlands, Mr. Gert-Jan Duives, was very well received by a diverse group of participants from the dairy sector, financial services, farm owners and government departments. Participants appreciated the teaching expertise and in-depth knowledge of the faculty team.
