Under its custom initiatives, Rausing Executive Development Centre (REDC) conducted its 2nd cohort of its experiential ‘Programme on Leadership Excellence at PepsiCo’ from February 12 - 14, 2020. The programme encompassed a cohesive view of Leadership Challenges, Self-Awareness, Valuing Individual Differences, Organisational Culture, Values and Employee Alignment. The programme aimed to develop a deep understanding of The PepsiCo’s Way as well as Guiding Principles and Vision of Winning with Purpose.
Led by Professors from the LUMS Business School, Dr. Jamshed H. Khan and Dr. Jawad Syed, the programme highlighted implications of being customer centric, leading change initiatives successfully and collaborating for results for optimum success in today’s competitive market. The programme also emphasised how to leverage social networks to encourage change in the organisations.
To reinforce the concepts and bring in practical knowledge from experienced professionals, Ms. Sadaf Saad, Head of IT at PepsiCo and Mr. Ayub Qureshi, Senior Franchise Manager at PepsiCo, joined as guest speakers. They shared interesting insights and views on how to deal with anticipated future challenges, build influential leadership, become change champions and the skillset required to deliver exceptional value to the customer.
During the course of the programme participants were exposed to a hands-on approach to learning through self-assessment exercises, immersive and interactive simulations, case studies from global markets to explore best practices and emerging trends and challenges in the industry for improving performance.
The programme was highly appreciated and participants commended the good environment, remarkable faculty and overall facilities provided by REDC. Imran Haider, Area Sales Manager, PepsiCo, said the programme was very relatable to the work that they do on a daily basis, “Most of the lessons were implementable at the work place. It enhanced my motivation to further groom myself. It will also help my team to develop.” Madiha Mubeen, CS Manager, PepsiCo, expressed similar thoughts saying, “It was a good refresher and felt like an overhauling of the inner self.”
