The Rausing Executive Development Centre (REDC) successfully concluded a 4-day immersive programme on Project Management that was attended by a diverse group of executives from across 19 progressive organisations. Directed by Dr. Zehra Waheed and supported in teaching by Dr. Jamshed H. Khan, Dr. Arif Iqbal Rana and Dr. Fahad Mehmood, the programme provided executives with a new dimension on project planning, control and execution and helped identify techniques to avoid costly mistakes while handling complex projects.
The hands-on programme also provided insights on project team dynamics, developing project scope and leveraging tools such as work breakdown structure and earned value analysis. Relevant case studies, interactive discussions and an exciting simulation enhanced the experiential approach and learning from the programme. The pedagogical mix helped participants appreciate the frameworks and concepts learnt during the sessions.
The programme was well received by participants with a key appreciation for the interactive learning, the Centre’s ambiance, teaching expertise and in-depth knowledge of the faculty team.
“An excellent programme, full of learning that has enabled us to review our planning, management and implementation approaches and apply appropriate practices for effective projects,” said Barkat Ali (ETI Government of Balochistan), programme participant.
“The programme offers great value for money as I have learnt a lot from it especially earned value analysis, efficient WBS and triangle and funnel techniques. I feel that it would be a great credential to an individual’s portfolio,” appreciated Waqqas Ahmad (Aga Khan University), programme participant.
