Under its custom initiatives, on November 15, 2019, Rausing Executive Development Centre (REDC) completed a series of 4-day programmes on Strategic Account Management in collaboration with one of the country’s top telecom companies, Jazz. The programme addressed the unique challenges faced by business consultants and emphasised the need to embrace changing business realities in order to understand the customer’s evolving needs in the context of digitisation and its implications in today’s business landscape.
Led by Dr. Muhammad Adeel Zaffar and Dr. Muhammad Luqman Awan, and supported in teaching by Dr. Adnan Zahid and Dr. Abdur Rahman Malik the programme exposed participants to the change in industry dynamics and capabilities required to compete in a rapidly transforming industry. It also highlighted how professionals can evolve from transactional roles and establish themselves as strategic business partners at the organisations they work in. The programme explored complementing themes to manage change as well as how the journey from conventional to digital is impacting the market to adopt consultative selling, navigate technological shifts in organisations, evolve at an individual level and establish trust within teams to achieve the overall objectives of the organisation.
With an amalgamation of a hands-on approach and emphasis on interactive learning, participants were immersed in case studies from global markets and explored various practices and tools used for improving their business outlook and associated trade-offs. The programme was well received by participants and created a memorable learning experience. One of the participants said of the experience, “It was great learning about customer centricity, empathy, drive, alignment of individual organisational goals, team building etc. Overall it was a good experience of learning about how to adjust with the growing demands and challenges in the industry.”
