Monday, October 8, 2018

The Rausing Executive Development Centre (REDC) successfully conducted an insightful programme, Growth and Continuity in Family-Run Businesses from September 28 - 29, 2018 for board members of family enterprises. Directed and taught by Arif Iqbal Rana and Muhammad Shakeel Sadiq Jajja, the 2-day programme highlighted the ground realities of family businesses in Pakistan.

The interactive programme provided a platform for discussion on key challenges related to growth, professionalisation, internationalisation and sustainability of family business and how to successfully implement practices that drive high-performance. Focusing on dynamics of family enterprise, the programme combined local and international case studies, reflective exercises and research on contemporary best practices to enable participants to drive growth within their own businesses.

“I have attended many courses; this was perhaps the most interesting one. We take family business for granted and realise it’s importance once it disappears. So this is highly recommended to all the families out there, ” commented programme participant, Adeel Musaddiq, Executive Director, Siddiq Leather Works Pvt. Ltd.
