Physics Graduate Student Wins Award to Conduct Research at University of Heidelberg

Saira Ali, a PhD candidate at the department of physics has been awarded a DAAD grant to conduct research at the University of Heidelberg. The award will allow her to spend six months at Heidelberg to work on a collaborative research project. 

Saira's research, under the supervision of LUMS Physics department faculty member, Babar Qureshi, is focused on early universe cosmology in particular studies of different inflationary scenarios using cosmic microwave background radiation. She will be joining the research group led by Prof. Bjorn Schafer at Heidelberg.
