NOP Team Visits Different Cities of Southern Punjab

Thursday, November 2, 2017

At the National Outreach Programme (NOP) Centre, our objective is to educate prospective Intermediate students about the National Outreach Programme and inspire them to apply to LUMS and take advantage of all the facilities being offered. This objective is met by our Outreach Team visiting various schools and colleges in different cities of Pakistan and disseminating marketing collateral as well as presenting information to the students. We try our best to target as many institutions as possible and spread awareness of the programme. For this year’s Outreach, one of our first visits was to Southern Punjab.

Besides the magnificent Derawar Fort and the grandeur of the Noor Mehal, Southern Punjab is home to wonderful students filled with the passion to learn.

From October 9 to 13, the NOP Team visited a number of different cities in the region such as Rahim Yar Khan, Bahawalpur, Rajanpur, Lodhran and Mailsi. A total of 13 colleges were visited and 1450 students were presented to. Our representatives were met with great enthusiasm and interest not only by the students but also the school/college administration. After outlining what LUMS offers in terms of programmes and facilities, they went on to explain how students can apply to the NOP. A detailed explanation was given about the new Online Application System for 2018 applicants. This was followed by an interactive Q&A session where students put forth all their queries.

A highlight of this particular visit was that our representatives also got a chance to meet NOP Summer Coaching Session 2017 participants who were eagerly waiting for the upcoming stages. Their queries about SAT registration and admissions to LUMS were answered as well.

We can say with confidence that we will be getting a significant number of applications from Southern Punjab this year!
