As the deadline to apply for the National Outreach Programme (NOP) Summer Coaching Session approaches, the NOP team’s outreach efforts have intensified in order to ensure the maximum number of students are made aware of the programme. The NOP team’s visit to Mirpur and its surrounding areas was conducted with the same zest where 20 colleges were visited in 6 different cities reaching out to 2630 students.
Students in the various colleges were walked through the process of the NOP and given instructions on how they can apply. The presentation focused on giving students not just an overview of LUMS but widening their horizons on the prospects their future can hold. As a majority of the audience was made up of students from pre-medical or pre-engineering backgrounds, they were inspired to take paths less travelled.
An initiative this year was visiting the town of Jajja for the first time and presenting to the Cadet College located within. Both students and staff were extremely welcoming and hoped that Jajja would be visited in the future as well to hunt for new talent.
