The vision for our National Outreach Programme is equal education for all, hence, the NOP team tirelessly searches for bright individuals who have the spark but not the means. In line with that vision the NOP team visited the base of Hasilpur and the additional cities of Chishtian, Vehari and Bahawalnagar from December 9-13, 2019. A total of 12 colleges were visited and 430 students were presented to.
The sessions were held with First Year intermediate students of both the Pre-Medical and Engineering streams where they were educated about their prospects at LUMS. They were also guided about the NOP Online Application process and were motivated to apply. It was interesting to meet the students who had already attended the NOP Summer Coaching Session 2019 and were eager to take the SAT and apply for LUMS Undergraduate Admissions.
Feedback received from educators in the region was very positive with Mr. Abdur Raheel, Head Teacher at Daanish School, Chishtian, thanked the team for visiting and suggested that more frequent information sessions be held throughout the application cycle. Similarly Mr. Syed Ali Zulqarnain, Placement In-charge at the Daanish School (Boys), Hasilpur, praised the motivational nature of the session and believed that it had visibly enhanced students’ drive to be ambitious about their educational futures.
