The National Outreach Programme (NOP) Centre team made day visits to selected cities of Punjab such as Kasur, Gujranwala and Sheikhupura to spread the light of education generally and create awareness about the NOP specifically. The following are some of the institutes visited:

1.       Punjab Group of Colleges

2.       Concordia College

3.       KIPS College

4.       Quaid e Azam Divisional Public School and College

During this official trip, more than 1500 students were introduced to the idea of LUMS and the scholarship opportunity it offers with the National Outreach Programme. Each session kicked off with an introduction to LUMS, its history, vision, mission and its current standing/ranking in the global and Asian region.  The presentation went on to explain the eligibility criteria of the Programme for first year Intermediate students and how they can benefit from this programme. Students were informed about the past and current students of LUMS who studied on NOP Scholarship. They were told about all the awards received by the NOP Alumni and how they benefitted from this programme in terms of tuition fee waivers, living allowance and free accommodation at LUMS.

The staff at all the institutions visited warmly welcomed the NOP team and applauded the role played by LUMS for raising the educational standards of the country.
