Moazzam Husain, MBA ’90, to Launch Book Titled ‘Putting Pakistan Right’

Mr. Moazzam Husain, LUMS MBA 1990, a business strategist and a renewable energy entrepreneur is an author of a forthcoming book titled ‘Putting Pakistan right: Standpoints on the War on Terror, Energy, Transit Corridors & Economic Development’. The book launch is on Thursday, September 22, 2016 at the Karachi Gymkhana Club at 5:00 PM.

Several leaders from business, industry, government circles, media and civil society will be attending the event. Mr. Abdullah Hussain Haroon, Pakistan’s Former Ambassador to the United Nations will be delivering the keynote address. This will be followed by a discussion between Mr. Saleem Raza, Former Governor of the State Bank of Pakistan, and Mr. Arshad Zuberi of the Business Recorder while Mr. Khurram Husain, prominent economic journalist, will moderate the discussion.

Putting Pakistan Right is the first book to attempt to simultaneously place the country’s current woes in the contexts of both security and economic challenges, in an easy and accessible manner,” writes Sakib Sherani, a former principal economic adviser to the Ministry of Finance in a recent review; terming it as “eminently readable”.

Mr. Moazzam was also recently nominated to assist with the Planning Commission of Pakistan and its group with developing the country's strategic Vision 2025 and the 11th, 5 Year Plan. In addition to a corporate career as an entrepreneur, Mr. Moazzam has also served as honorary consultant to Pakistan’s Minister for Commerce and to the Trade Development Authority of Pakistan helping develop a strategy & roadmap to double the country’s exports.
