It was an entertaining night for LUMS alumni Down Under when the Sydney Alumni Chapter had their first get together of the year on Sunday, February 19, 2017 at Rashays in Rhodes, Sydney, Australia. It was a great gathering to kick off the year, with LUMS graduates Ayesha Usman (BSc Economics 2005) and Najam Ul Hassan (MBA 2009) who attended an alumni reunion for the first time .
The excitement had begun well before the event though, as the original plan was to have a reunion picnic in the park. Due to weather conditions the plan was changed to a charming indoor lunch. The alumni reconnected with each other. They also discussed placement opportunities and how they can help fellow alumni who have moved to Sydney.
As far as get-togethers go, this was a terrific one with a lot of catching up on times gone by, reliving old memories and indulging in interesting discussions over delicious food.
A get-together is not complete unless you plan the next one and that is just what our alumni did, making sure to brainstorm ideas for their next reunion. It was an enjoyable night for all, only waiting to be topped by the next get-together in Sydney!
