QS World University Rankings are one of most established and acknowledged international university rankings in the world. These rankings are published annually by Quacquarelli Symonds (QS). The QS rankings are made up of both global and regional tables and are also organised by academic discipline. The final ranking takes into account aspects such as Academic Reputation, Employer Reputation, Faculty-Student Ratio, Citations per Faculty, International Faculty and International Students.
The QS rating system makes it easier for students to locate top universities in particular regions, countries or disciplines. These rankings are also useful for organisations choosing partners and for scholarship providers selecting top ranked universities for sponsorships.
LUMS, established in 1985, has expanded over the years and now houses four schools namely, the Suleman Dawood School of Business (SDSB); the Mushtaq Ahmad Gurmani School of Humanities and Social Sciences (MGSHSS); the Syed Babar Ali School of Science and Engineering (SBASSE) and the Shaikh Ahmad Hassan School of Law (SAHSOL). Academic programmes are being offered at the undergraduate, graduate and post graduate levels and include degrees such as BS, BSc (Honours), BA-LL.B, MS and PhD in the areas of Management, Accounting and Finance, Biology, Chemistry, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Economics, Political Science, English and other fields.
