Tuesday, February 7, 2017

Representatives of the LUMS Office of Marketing and Communications, Office of Admissions and selective faculty members represented the University at the 14th Dawn Education Expo held recently at three major cities of Pakistan. The Karachi expo took place on January 28 – 29, 2017 at Karachi Expo centre, the Lahore expo from January 31 – February 1, 2017 at Faletti's Hotel and the Islamabad expo from February 3-4, 2017 at Pak-China Friendship Centre.

The three events attracted prospective students from these cities, as well as those from nearby. The 14th DAWN Education Expo brought local and international universities and colleges under one roof. These included respected and mainstream higher education institutes from North America and the UK as well emergent ones in Australia, Belgium, Canada, Germany, Hong Kong, Ireland, Malaysia, New Zealand, Northern Cyprus, Pakistan, Russia, Switzerland, Turkey & the UAE. Since its first edition in 2004, DAWN Education Expo has, for 13 consecutive years, brought together prospective students face-to-face with representatives from higher education institutions from around the world, making it the longest running education fair in Pakistan.

Students visited the educational stalls throughout the day to gather information regarding their desired academic programmes and the admission process. They were particularly excited to meet LUMS representatives and gain knowledge about the various degrees being offered as well as the admission criteria for them. Students and their parents were further motivated to know about the generous financial assistance offered by LUMS. The events proved to be mutually beneficial for both the students and their parents who benefitted from the face-to-face interaction with LUMS representatives.

LUMS continues to expand and diversify its outreach efforts to identify and engage the best talent in the country. It stands committed to its goal of quality education for all where merit is the only criterion and money is not a barrier.
