The LUMS National Outreach Programme (NOP) Centre held information sessions in Peshawar and the adjoining areas including Kohat, Charsadda, and Mardan as part of its outreach activities for 2016-17.
During the official trip, the team visited 13 colleges and reached out to more than 1700 prospective applicants. The seminars started off with an orientation about the history of LUMS, its vision and mission. Prospective students were introduced to the unique experience of LUMS with its well-equipped and state-of-the-art campus, highly qualified and experienced faculty, diverse classrooms and a long list of student run societies that make the university, one of the best in the country.
NOP process and criteria was explained to the students followed by all the achievements by the NOP scholars. The presentations ended with the distribution of application forms for the NOP Summer Coaching Session 2017 to intermediate students of various colleges. The teachers and staff at all the institutions applauded the efforts put in by LUMS NOP Centre for the cause of supporting academically talented and financially challenged students.
