Bilal Asim, a graduate of the MBA class of 2013, has been selected for the Atlantic Fellows for Health Equity Fellowship programme at The George Washington University, USA. The Atlantic Fellows for Health Equity is a one-year, non-residential fellowship programme offered at the George Washington University. The vision of the programme is to develop global leaders who understand the drivers of inequity in populations within the USA and globally, and have the knowledge, skills, and courage to build more equitable health systems and organisations. Fellows for the programme are selected from the USA and the developing world based on prior commitment in the area of health equity and demonstrated leadership promise.

Speaking about his achievement, Bilal said, “I believe that my experience at LUMS has helped me a great deal, both personally and professionally. LUMS offers the best academic experience one could have in Pakistan. It played an important role in my intellectual development. Rigorous course work combined with values imbibed in me enabled me to thrive in tough situations and leave positive footprints for others to follow. The case method of teaching enabled me to deeply analyse business problems, accept difference of opinion and devise practical solutions for real world problems.”

"I am delighted to be a part of this prestigious fellowship programme. This is an excellent opportunity for me to grow intellectually and build networks to address pressing issues related to health inequity in future,” he added.
