Monday, March 19, 2018

The Alumni Relations Office invited LUMS Development Sector alumni for a reunion on Thursday, March 15, 2018 at LUMS. Alumni from the batches of 1988 all the way to 2017, working at various organisations including Care Foundation, Data Consultants, PwC, The Citizens Foundation, World Bank, Islamic Relief, Akai Ideas Pvt. Ltd., and Education Fund for Sindh attended the get together.

The aim of the reunion was to gather alumni working in the Development Sector and provide them with an opportunity to network and share career prospects in their fields. LUMS students aspiring to have a career in the Development sector also attended the reunion. The enthusiastic students got a chance to network with alumni and ask them about their career trajectory.

The reunion kicked off with everyone introducing themselves, allowing the alumni and students to get to know one another over a cup of tea. The discussions centred on how each alumni started their journey in their fields, what profession they started off with, and how they had reached where they are today.

The evening concluded with the alumni planning a second meet-up and vowing to stay in touch. They also nominated themselves to mentor students through a panel discussion session to be organised soon.
