Lifetime Learning @LUMS (LLL) celebrated its session six graduation ceremony on Saturday, September 8, 2018. This was the largest session of the Lifetime Learning @LUMS programme since its commencement, and thus the graduation ceremony was divided into two slots, with one being held in the morning and one in the evening. It was an amazing day to celebrate the pursuit of passions when the graduates participated in their much-anticipated ceremony with zeal and enthusiasm.
Dr. Shahid Masud, Dean, Syed Babar Ali School of Science and Engineering (SBASSE), was the honourable chief guest at both the ceremonies hosted by the multitalented Adeel Hashmi, who has been a patron of the programme from the very beginning. Hashmi motivated the graduating participants with his inspirational words, especially when he reiterated the philosophy behind the programme that, 'learning is a timeless endeavour.'
LLL Session 6 offered 24 exciting academic and interest-based courses with more than 500 participants enrolled in them. The venue of the ceremonies was made vibrant by the exhibition of the art gallery photographs, paintings, interior models, along with delectable baked items prepared by the respective participants of Photography 101, Painting, Interior Design, Introduction to Design, Clothing and Textile, and Artisan Baking.
The ceremonies commenced with the National Anthem. This was followed by Mr. Hashmi's address who engaged the audience with his humour and captivating storytelling skills, and congratulated the graduating participants on their achievement. Successively, a short video giving a glimpse into the extraordinary LLL journey was played for the audience. The participants of the Event Management course also exhibited an exciting video showing their experience with LLL, which was thoroughly appreciated by the audience.
Dr. Masud, congratulated and motivated the graduates at the event and encouraged them never to halt the learning process. The ceremonies concluded with the distribution of certificates to all the graduates, and acknowledgement of the hard work put in by the team of Lifetime Learning @LUMS. Later, all the attendees enjoyed a hi-tea alongside networking with their fellow participants and instructors.
